Corteco exhibits at Automechanika in Frankfurt after forced pandemic break

August 25, 2022/Hirschberg/Frankfurt: After a forced break due to the pandemic and a hybrid trade fair last year, Automechanika will be held again this fall as an in-person event. The leading international trade fair for the entire value chain of the automotive aftermarket will open its doors in Frankfurt from September 13 to 17, 2022.

As one of the world's leading companies in the independent aftermarket, Corteco is looking forward to welcoming its visitors in person again. At the exhibition stand, the focus is on, "Corteco - between past, present and future". The company celebrated its 25th anniversary in 2021 and provides insights into what was, is and will be.

Corteco was founded in 1996. Within just a few years, the company has expanded rapidly and gained a leading position in the automotive independent aftermarket worldwide. As a member of the global Freudenberg Group, it supplies more than 26,000 OEM-quality products and has production and sales facilities in more than 15 countries. Through the Freudenberg Group, Corteco reaches customers in 60 countries around the world.

Independent workshops have direct access to original spare parts in OEM quality via Corteco. The product range is divided into three main product groups: Sealing, Vibration Control and Cabin Air Filtration. These include products that enjoy classic status in the automotive business, such as the Simmerring® or micronAir cabin air filters. Both were developed by Freudenberg and are still a synonym for entire product groups.

At Automechanika, Corteco will be showcasing top products from its current range for automotive, agricultural and heavy-duty applications. At the show, the focus will be on steering and suspension components, as well as static sealing elements such as flat gaskets and oil drain plug kits. These products have been specifically designed to withstand the increasing operating pressures and temperatures found in modern engines and ensure excellent performance at all times.

The independent automotive aftermarket faces several challenges in the coming years. Corteco is showing itself well prepared for this at Automechanika. The company is taking a look into the future, presenting products that are already available in its range for electric cars and highlighting what its parent company Freudenberg Sealing Technologies has in its portfolio when it comes to electromobility.

Jürgen Friedl, Vice President, Corteco Europe explains: "We not only support our customers with emission-reducing products. We are also working intensively on our own carbon footprint." Part of the booth is therefore dedicated to current sustainability projects. For example, the company has drastically reduced the amount of plastic used in packaging. To transport goods from its German site in Hirschberg to Pinerolo in Italy, the aftermarket specialist has shifted goods traffic from road to rail - saving almost twenty thousand tons of carbon dioxide annually.

Customers are very welcome to come to Frankfurt to the Corteco booth in Hall 6, B40.

    Tie Rod Ends/ Tie Rods

The fixed and adjustable tie rods are the connection between the steering box and the steering wheels of the vehicle. Adjustable to the needs of each individual chassis, they  ensure accurate steering and safe drivability. Their good setting and stiffness will avoid vibration on steering and wheel, and less tire wear.
  • Stabilizer Links

    Stabilizer Links

The stabilizer link controls the body roll of the vehicle during turns by connecting the antiroll bar and the suspension system of the vehicle. The link plays a vital role, when it comes to safety and comfort, because a breakage would result in handling problems and excessive body roll. Our stabilizer links are made out of high-tech materials in order to minimize noise transmissions and enable a quick reaction.
